Yogi Adityanath, Chief Minister of Uttar Pradesh, stated on Wednesday that all eligible people in the state will be vaccinated against Covid and that vaccination for those aged 12 to 18 will be available shortly.

Those above the age of 18 are currently being immunized against the virus.

“A vaccine for people aged 12 to 18 will be available soon. We shall immunize everyone “Adityanath stated this in Deoria.

During his visit to Deoria, the chief minister visited Katrari village and met with the Gram Pradhan as well as members of the Covid monitoring committee.

He stated that active monitoring committees were crucial in the door-to-door screening of persons in order to reduce Covid incidents. Adityanath stated that early detection of symptoms, followed by the distribution of medical kits and isolation, aided in keeping the epidemic under control.

The UP government stated in a statement that the chief minister emphasized raising awareness about encephalitis in the hamlet.

He advised residents to avoid open defecation and to keep the village clean.

Adityanath then visited the Primary Health Centre in Majhgawan to examine the immunization campaign and encouraged those who had come for their vaccinations to motivate others.

He also stated that the government is ready to cope with diseases such as encephalitis and dengue, which primarily develop during the rainy season owing to contaminated water and mosquitoes.

Adityanath stated that an action plan is being developed in this respect.

“To combat encephalitis, we need to go door-to-door in every region prone to illness and deliver medical kits in advance,” he added.

Adityanath also paid a visit to the Integrated Covid command and control room in Kushinagar district on Wednesday, where he met with family members of a home isolated Covid-19 patient and inquired about her well-being.
