The team of scientists from Lucknow’s Birbal Sahni Institute of Palaeosciences recently visited Dhar village of Madhya Pradesh and found on examination of stones worshiped by the villagers as their family deity are in fact dinosaur eggs recently.

In past many dinosaur eggs were traced by the scientists visiting Dhar district from time to time.

The villagers worship the stone balls they found as Kuldevta for years,now they are surprised to learn that those were fossilized dinosaur eggs.

The villagers believe that the Kuldevtas would safeguard their farmland and livestock from difficulties and misfortunes, the villagers in Dhar’s Padalya had been worshipping the stones they found while farming as “Kakad Bhairav” or Bhilat Baba.

A local villager V Mandaloi of village Padlya said “We offer coconuts to Bhilat Baba and performed the puja. Some villagers go for animal sacrifice infront of these balls.

Many families of the village worship these balls which were found during digging in Dhar and nearby areas.
