On Saturday, the number of daily Covid-19 cases in Delhi dipped below 500, with 414 new infections registered in the previous 24 hours. The total number of active cases in Delhi now stands at 6,731.

The infection count on Saturday was the lowest since March 15, when 368 cases were reported, with a positive rate of 0.53 percent. The lowest infection rate, 0.52 percent, was last recorded on March 10.

Covid-19 has been recorded in 14,28,863 instances in Delhi thus far.

In the previous 24 hours, the city has registered 60 coronavirus-related deaths, bringing the overall death toll to 24,557. The city’s case fatality rate (CFR) jumped to 1.72 percent among patients.

Between Friday and Saturday, 77,694 coronavirus samples were collected in Delhi, employing 22,059 Rapid Antigen and 55,635 RT-PCR testing. To date, Covid-19 has been detected in 1,96,81,458 samples.

In the last 24 hours, 1683 people have been discharged from Delhi hospitals after recuperating from Covid-19.

Simultaneously, the recovery rate of Covid-19 patients in Delhi has risen to 97.81 percent, the highest since March 18 when it was 97.85 percent.

Despite a drop in the number of active infections among confirmed instances of infection to 0.47 percent, a total of 2855 Covid-19 patients remain under home isolation across the city.

As many as 12,296 containment zones have been notified in Delhi in a bid to break the chain of transmission.
