On Tuesday, the Karnataka government agreed to extend the ban on gatherings of more than four individuals in public areas in Bengaluru under section 144 till June 21. This comes a day after traffic jams resurfaced in the IT capital city after the lockdown in 19 districts was lifted after more than a month. The daily COVID curfew of 7 p.m. to 5 a.m., as well as the weekend curfew of 7 p.m. on Friday to 5 a.m. on Monday, would remain in effect.

“Section 144 CrPC (prohibiting gatherings of more than four individuals in public places, except for exempt purposes) will stay in effect until midnight on June 21st. The Bengaluru City Police Commissioner and Additional District Magistrate issued a circular exempting bus stops, railway stations, and airports.

All industries have been permitted to operate with a 50% staffing level. The garment industry can function with a 30% staffing level.
Essential-goods stores have been permitted to stay open until 2 p.m., up from 10 a.m. previously.

Construction activities will be allowed at all times. Construction-related businesses, such as cement and steel, have also been permitted to open.
the parks will be open From 5 a.m. until 10 a.m. street sellers can conduct business. From 6 a.m. until 2 p.m.

Autos and taxis are only permitted to carry a maximum of two passengers. Important government departments can function with half of their employees. Hotels and restaurants will continue to provide excellent service. On April 27, the state government declared a total shutdown to stop the spread of coronavirus cases.

Meanwhile, in Bengaluru, the Karnataka government has prolonged the restrictions imposed under Section 144, which forbids gatherings of more than four individuals in public areas, until June 21 at midnight.
Except in bus stops, train stations, and airports, no public gatherings will be permitted.

Bagalkot, Ballari, Bengaluru Urban, Bidar, Chikkaballapur, Chitradurga, Dharwad, Gadag, Haveri, Kalaburagi, Kolar, Koppal, Raichur, Ramanagar, Tumukur, Udupi, Uttara Kannada, Vijayapura, and Yadagir are among the districts where restrictions have been lifted as of June 14.

Opening of parks and industrial facilities with riders, extending the time of businesses selling necessary products, and allowing autos and taxis to carry a maximum of two people are among the relaxations declared by the administration in the remaining 19 districts.
