A suspect has been detained for setting fire to a patient at a hospital in Madhya Pradesh’s Sagar district. The accused had previously wounded the guy, requiring him to be brought to the hospital.

The incident took place on Thursday and was caught on camera by a hospital CCTV camera. Damodar Kori, the victim, is being treated for burns at Bundelkhand Medical College in Sagar district, according to a report. His health is in good hands.

The video shows the accused, Milan Rajak, walking around the hospital lobby with a lighter in his hand. He is then seen approaching Kori and lighting him on fire. The patient, engulfed in flames, dashes for the exit, pursued by the assailant who flees the scene.

Milan Rajak has been charged under Section 307 of the Indian Penal Code at the Gopalganj police station.

According to Vikram Kushwah, Additional Superintendent of Police, Sagar district, the culprit used fuel to light the fire. According to the police officer, the CCTV video and the victim’s confession corroborate that Milan Mache Rajak lit him on fire.
