Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan was called on by representatives of Reliance Industries Limited, Hettich India and PepsiCo India industrial groups here today and they discussed about setting up of bio gas, furniture fittings and food processing units in the state.

Chief Minister Chouhan welcomed industrialists and investors to the state while assuring them of all possible cooperation.

Reliance will set up Compressed Bio Gas and Bio Gas Condensation Plant

Chief Minister Chouhan was informed by Reliance Industries Senior Vice President Farhan Ansari and Vice President Vivek Taneja that their group is willing to enter in the bio energy sector by establishing 10 Compressed Bio Gas and 15 Bio Gas Condensation Plants at various places in the state with an investment of about Rs 1970 crore. The representatives of Reliance discussed with Chief Minister Chouhan regarding the long-term benefits to the state and the expectations of the company.

Hettich India specializes in manufacturing furniture hardware products

Chief Minister Chouhan was called on by Shri Andre Akolt, Managing Director of German company Hettich India, specializing in the manufacture of furniture hardware products and he informed about the company’s new unit being set up in Pithampur with an investment of Rs 700 crore. The unit will generate employment for around 500 people. A unit has been set up by the company in Pithampur in the year 2020 with an investment of Rs 300 crore, which has created employment for about 600 people. Hettich India is also expanding this unit with an investment of Rs 270 crore. This unit that makes hinge will also generate employment for about 600 people.

PepsiCo keen to set up carbonated beverage unit in Ujjain

Chief Minister Chouhan was called on by PepsiCo India President Ahmed Al Sheikh, Chief Financial Officer Kishore Mitra and Chief Corporate Affairs Garima Singh. PepsiCo is a leading food and beverage company with a worldwide presence. PepsiCo India is keen to set up a food processing (carbonated drink) unit at Vikram Udyogpuri Ujjain with an investment of about Rs one thousand 155 crore, which will generate employment for about 150 people.
