Had tea at Lalita bahna’s houseProvided assistance of Rs 2.5 lakhs for houseChief Minister Shri Chouhan reached the house of Smt. Lalita Bai, a resident of Vivekananda Ward, during Jandarshan in Gadarwara. In the discussion, Smt. Lalita told that her husband and elder son had passed away. Her house is kuccha and the financial condition of the family is also not good. Chief Minister Shri Chouhan immediately handed over a cheque of Rs 2.5 lakh as assistance to her for house construction. Smt. Lalita Bai said that ‘I can never forget the affection brother Shivraj has given me today.’ She served tea to Shri Chouhan. Seeing her affection for him, Chief Minister Shri Chouhan became emotional.During jan darshan, Chief Minister Shri Chouhan met visually challenged girl child Santosh Mehra in Niranjan Ward. Chief Minister Shri Chouhan gave him an amount of Rs 50,000 as a voluntary grant and instructed the officials to get her eyes checked and get all possible treatment. Chief Minister Shri Chouhan attended the Vikas Parv at Gadarwara, Narsinghpur today. He dedicated the development works and interacted with the Bahnas. Chief Minister Shri Chouhan dedicated/performed bhoomi-pujan of development works worth more than Rs. 4825 crore including bhoomi-pujan of Sugar-Pench Link Project worth above Rs. 4434 crore. These include, bhoomi-pujan worth Rs 4796 crore 56 lakh and works worth Rs 28 crore 45 lakh were dedicated. The Chief Minister also distributed benefits to the beneficiaries of various schemes. The programme started with kanya-pujan.

Chief Minister Shri Chouhan said that basic facilities, roads, electricity, water and irrigation are being expanded continuously in the state. Today, the state has quality roads, continuous power supply, potable water and irrigation facilities in large areas. Continuous efforts are ensured to provide tap water to every house and irrigation water to every field. Work worth Rs 10,000 crore is conducted on irrigation projects in Narsinghpur area itself.

Today, Shakkar-Pench Link Irrigation Project costing Rs 4434 crore has been inaugurated. Water will reach 197 villages in Narsinghpur area, 95 in Chhindwara area and 189 in Gadarwara area through this project. With the expansion of irrigation, Narsinghpur and surrounding area will become like Punjab and Haryana in terms of agriculture.

Chief Minister Shri Chouhan said that pulses export cluster will be made in Gadarwara. Dals of Gadarwara are famous, both farmers and traders will be benefited by the formation of pulses export cluster here. There will be a positive change in the economy of the area. The Chief Minister announced starting of a college at Salechouka, upgradation of Government High School at Barman, construction of a 300-bed hospital at Gadarwara and construction of roads at Chichli, Madhesur and Devgarh. Sufficient amount will also be sanctioned for the development of Nagar Panchayat and Gadarwara Municipality.

Chief Minister Shri Chouhan said that he is the fortunate brother of 1.25 crore Ladli Bahnas of the state. Apart from providing amounts to sisters through Ladli Bahna Yojana, their self-esteem has also been boosted. The ahatas of liquor have been shut down. Severe punishment is given to those who wrongly look at the daughters. In the Livelihood Mission, work is being done to make the sisters financially empowered. The target is to increase the income of each sister to Rs. 10 thousand. Toll booths are also being given to the sisters for operation, in which the sisters will get Rs. 30 thousand on income of one lakh. The sisters have also been given the task of maintenance of tap-water schemes. 50 percent reservation has been given to sisters in panchayats and local bodies. We endevour for the empowerment of the sisters.

Chief Minister Shri Chouhan said that the previous government had stopped Sambal, Teerth-Darshan, Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana along with schemes for the welfare of farmers. I was saddend when my labouring sisters used to carry their newborn children with them to work at the time of delivery. I felt that they should also get rest. That’s why the government started Prasuti Sahayata Yojana, in which sisters are given Rs 4,000 before the birth of a child and Rs 12,000 after. All the schemes closed by the old government have been re-started.

Chief Minister Shri Chouhan said that meritorious students are being provided with laptops and toppers of 12th standard with scooties. They are also being provided with fees for higher education. Students of classes 6 and 9 are being given money for bicycles when they go to school in other villages. Farmers are being given loans at zero percent interest and an amount of Rs. 12 thousand every year under the Kisan Samman Nidhi Yojana.

Benefit distribution in various schemes

Chief Minister Shri Chouhan gave approval letters to Ladli Bahnas in new cases under Mukhyamantri Ladli Bahna Yojana. Along with this, benefits were also given to the cook sisters. Sisters of State Rural Livelihoods were felicitated. Pattas were also distributed under the Mukhyamantri Awasiya Bhu-adhikar Yojana (Chief Minister Residential Land Rights Scheme).

District Incharge and State Forest Minister Dr. Kunwar Vijay Shah, MP Shri Rao Uday Pratap Singh, Rajya Sabha member Shri Kailash Soni, MLA Shri Jalam Singh Patel, District Panchayat President Smt. Jyoti Kakodia, other public representatives, Ladli Bahnas and people in large numbers were present.
