Chief Minister Dr. Mohan Yadav and MP Shri Vishnudutt Sharma observed Mahashivratri with prayers at the Matangeshwar Mahadev Temple in Khajuraho, Chhatarpur district.

Accompanied by Mahendra Sharma, MLAs, and district representatives, they sought blessings for the state’s prosperity and its people.

Emphasizing temples as centers of cultural enrichment, the Chief Minister expressed joy that Matangeshwar Mahadev stands out as one of the pioneering Sanskar Kendras, retaining its unique identity.

The Chief Minister highlighted Khajuraho’s significance as a destination drawing visitors from across the nation and the globe, primarily due to its renowned temple complex.

Together with MP VD Sharma, it was decided to initiate construction projects aimed at renovating and enhancing not just the Matangeshwar Mahadev Temple but the entire region.

Dr. Mohan Yadav noted the absence of a Nandi Griha in front of the colossal Shivalinga at Matangeshwar Mahadev Temple.

To address this, plans are underway, in collaboration with the Archaeology Department, to construct and install a Nandi-like structure.

Furthermore, the Madhya Pradesh government is committed to executing comprehensive development plans for the Devlok, akin to the Mahalok of Mahakaal.

The Chief Minister said that just as the situation in Ayodhya changed and Pran-Prathishta of Lord Shri Ram’s idols took place.

Mahakal Mahalok in Ujjain was constructed, a corridor was built in Banaras, and similarly Khajuraho will also be developed under the leadership of Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi.

The Chief Minister said that when there was hail, frost and untimely rain in this area in the past, instructions were immediately given to the Collector for assessment.

The government will fully compensate for crop loss due to hailstorm.

He said that today we all should celebrate Mahashivratri with reverence.

The Chief Minister also extended greetings to people of the state on Mahashivratri.
