Twenty two persons are killed and over 20 others injured in a private bus falls of bridge on river Board in Khargone district of Madhya Pradesh.

The State government has ordered magisterial probe into the incident.

The injured are admitted in the district hospital Khargone.

Around 50 passengers were reportedly on board of the bus when the accident occured.

Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan has announced an ex-gratia of Rs 4 lakh to the kin of each of those killed in the accident.

The seriously injured persons will be given Rs 50,000 and those who received minor injuries will be given Rs 25,000.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi also condoled the loss of lives in the accident.

Former Chief Minister Kamal Nath tweeted the sad news has been received of the death of 15 people and injuries to many people due to the accident of a bus in Khargone district.

I pray to God for the peace of the departed souls. Wishing the injured a speedy recovery. I pray that the relief and rescue teams get quick success in their mission, Nath said.
