Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan has said that the construction works in the state should be completed with perfect quality within the stipulated time limit.

The buildings of CM Rise Schools should be selected on a war footing and their construction should be completed expeditiously, so that they can be started by next year.

CM Chouhan was presiding over the first meeting of the Board of Directors of Madhya Pradesh Building Development Corporation in Mantralaya. Public Works Minister Gopal Bhargava, Chief Secretary Iqbal Singh Bains, Additional Chief Secretary Finance Manoj Govil, Principal Secretary Public Works Neeraj Mandloi and officials were present.

Chief Minister Chouhan said that one CM Rise School building should be constructed in every division on a war footing.

He said that permanent recruitment should be made in Madhya Pradesh Building Development Corporation. A good image of the corporation should be created, so that it can be discussed in the whole country.

CM Chouhan inaugurated the website and work management system of the corporation.

Public Works Minister Gopal Bhargava described the steps being taken by the corporation as an exemplary initiative for the construction departments.

It was informed in the meeting that now the concerned departments will be able to do real time monitoring of physical and financial progress of the works entrusted to the Building Development Corporation.

Also, all the information related to the works will be downloaded from the Works Management System software.

The work of estimation and technical approval of works will be done online. Correspondence with departments, contractors and consultants will be paperless.

It was apprised in the meeting that various departments have allotted works worth approximately Rs.6 thousand 525 crore to the corporation. Administrative approval has been given for works worth Rs 1 thousand 974 crore in the corporation.

Out of this, tenders for works worth Rs 1 thousand 472 crore are going on and tenders for 10 works have been approved. The works are being started soon.

Chief Minister Chouhan said to prioritize completion of construction works of roads. 92 percent of Sehore-Ichhawar-Kosmi road has been completed and the rest should be completed expeditiously. 32 percent work of Nasrullaganj-Kosmi road has been completed, which has been directed to be completed expeditiously.

Chief Minister Chouhan said that the work of fixing the concession fee should be done on priority according to the BOT project on Lewad-Jaora road.

In the meeting, various points including increase in the honorarium of contractual legal consultant posted in the corporation, extension of contract period of chief engineer, extension of contract period of management assistant and road data-system engineer were discussed.
