Chief Minister Shivraj Singh chouhan on Tuesday distributed Rs.11.03 crore to 14419 flood affected families in Videsha district.

The Videsha district administration finished the survey of flood affected families in 534 villages.

The chief minister through single click of button distributed certain amount to each of the affected families that will be credited into the bank accounts.

Chouhan instructed the district authorities that if any family is left out also ensure they get the relief amount.

He instructed the officials to make temporary arrangements of accommodation for the flood affected families till their house is constructed.

He said the houses are totally damaged and the families are currently residing in the camps as it will take another 6-8 months to construct the houses therefore temporary arrangements for their accommodation is to be done.

He instructed the authorities to take steps to remove the sludge in the flood affected villages and organize health camps, provide drinking water facilities and spray medicine to check spread of any contagious diseases in the area.

Chouhan instructed the district collector of other flood affected districts to complete the survey as early possible so that the affected families could be given relief.
