Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan has said that the Vikas Yatra, which started in the state today on Sant Ravidas Jayanti, is a campaign to change the lives of the people. Sant Ravidas was a wonderful saint.

Chouhan said the Centre and our government are working by following his lines – “Aisa Chahun Raj Main, Jahan Mile Saban Ko Ann, Chhote-Badon Sab Sam Base, Ravidas Rahe Prasanna” (I want such a rule, where everyone gets food, small and big people live on equal terms and everyone remains happy.) Our resolution is the welfare of the poor. For this purpose, such families, which were deprived of taking advantage of the government schemes, were identified by conducting Mukhya Mantri Jan Seva Abhiyan in every village and ward in the state. Under the campaign, work is being done to distribute sanction letters to 83 lakh eligible persons.

Today, approval letters of 38 different schemes have been distributed to 3 lakh 77 thousand new beneficiaries of Chambal division. All these beneficiaries will start getting the benefits of the schemes, he said.

Important action will be taken to identify the remaining eligible persons and connect them with the schemes even during the Vikas Yatra, he said.

Chouhan participated in the launch of Vikas Yatra in Bhind district, distribution of acceptance letters in Mukhya Mantri Jan Seva Abhiyan and dedication-foundation stone laying programmes of development works.

The Chief Minister flagged off the Vikas Yatra rath. Also unveiled the song of Vikas Yatra. The programme started with Kanya-pujan and the picture of Sant Ravidas ji was garlanded and floral tributes were paid.

Chouhan announced to approve Medical College in Bhind and The municipality in Bhind is upgraded to Municipal Corporation.

The sanction letters were disbursed to 3 lakh 77 thousand beneficiaries in Jan Seva Abhiyan.
Chouhan laid the foundation stone and dedication of 125 development works worth Rs. 397 crore 63 lakh.

He said that the birthplace of Sant Ravidas ji will also be linked with the Mukhya Mantri Teerth-Darshan Yojana.

The CM said that in the Teerth Darshan Yojana, from the month of March, the elderly will now be taken for pilgrimage by air.

Chouhan said that from today we are starting Vikas Yatras. These yatras will go to all the villages and urban wards. Yatras will not be a ritual, it is a campaign to change the lives of the people.

Chouhan said that the aim of Vikas Yatras is to benefit 100 percent eligible beneficiaries. He said that dedication, laying of foundation stone and disbursal of benefits will also be undertaken in Vikas Yatras. Along with this, by adding the names of the people left out of the schemes of the government, they will be given the benefits of the schemes of the government.

Chouhan said that he wants to make life easier for his sisters. Along with the previously implemented schemes, now the “Ladli Bahna” scheme will make the lives of my sisters better. Arrangements are being made to give one thousand rupees every month and 12 thousand rupees in a year and 60 thousand rupees in 5 years to the sisters in the scheme.

The Chief Minister said that what has not happened anywhere has happened in Madhya Pradesh. Your brother Shivraj will do what no one has done.

Chouhan said that I am happy that 83 lakh such people have been identified in the state through the Mukhya Mantri Jan Seva Abhiyan who are eligible to take advantage of government schemes. Approval letter distribution work is going on in the state to benefit all these citizens in 38 different schemes.

Chouhan said that the government is running several schemes for the welfare of the poor. Continuous efforts are being made to arrange ration, education, medicine and housing for the poor. Houses are being built for the poor by freeing government land from land mafia. Under the Ayushman Yojana, card holder families are also being given treatment facility of up to Rs. 5 lakh in a year. Higher education fees of Ladli Laxmis and the talented children of poor and middle class are also being paid by the state government.

In Bhind district, 48 children have been provided assistance of Rs. 25 thousand for higher education. Besides, laptops have been distributed to more than 1600 children who have scored more than 75 percent marks in the board examinations under the Medhavi Chhatra Yojana, he said.

On the achievements of the state, Chouhan said that Rs 2 lakh 25 thousand crore have been deposited in the accounts of farmers from the Mukhya Mantri Kisan Samman Nidhi.

He said that the Kanera irrigation scheme has also been approved. We have to increase irrigation facility to 65 lakh hectare. He told the Bhind officials to make proposals for irrigation. We will accept all offers.

He said that not a single field will be deprived of water. The Chief Minister also administered the oath to work together for the development and welfare of the people.

District in-charge and Revenue and Transport Minister Govind Singh Rajput said that the Chief Minister constantly implements new schemes for the betterment and welfare of the people. Janseva is also his gift. It was he who had resolved that every needy should get the benefit of the schemes. The Vikas Yatra that is starting today is also the Chief Minister’s idea.

Cooperative and Public Service Management Minister Dr. Arvind Singh Bhadauria said that the approval letters of the Janseva Abhiyan were distributed in all 230 assembly constituencies. Along with this, 3 lakh 77 thousand beneficiaries of Bhind, Morena and Sheopur districts of Chambal division are getting benefits in Bhind. Today is a day of pride for us. He said that the government led by Chief Minister Shri Chouhan has made Chambal an island of peace by giving fearless and peaceful environment to the entire Chambal division. He expressed gratitude to the Chief Minister for making arrangements for light feeder separation in every village and for getting approval of Rs 8.5 crores in the four-line Atal Progress-Way up to Etawah.

Minister of State for Urban Development and Housing OPS Bhadauria said that Saint Ravidas has done the work of bonding social harmony and unity. He said that the Vikas Yatra under the leadership of the Chief Minister will change the picture of Madhya Pradesh and will change the destiny of people.
