Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan has said that irrigation facilities are being expanded continuously in the state. Today, the first phase of Kundalia pipe irrigation system worth more than Rs 1200 crore has been dedicated in Agar-Malwa. Through this, water will be supplied to the fields of 146 villages through pipeline. We endevour to ensure water in every farm of the state. Subsequently the crops of the farmers will flourish and they will prosper. Simul taneously Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi’s dream of ‘Per drop more crop’ will come true.

The dam work has been physically completed on 14 December 2018.Canal work is in progress. Presently 96 percent work of laying pump house and pipeline has been completed under the pressurized irrigation system in the scheme.

Chief Minister Chouhan today participated in the Ladli Bahna Sammelan under Vikas Parv in Agar-Malwa. He welcomed the Sant Ravidas Yatra that reached there today and honoured the saints. Chief Minister Shri Chouhan dedicated/performed bhoomi-pujan of development works worth more than Rs 1306 crore and distributed benefits to the beneficiaries. The programme started with kanya-pujan.

Chief Minister Chouhan said that our resolve is to bring smile on the faces of our women. Many schemes are being run in the state for the welfare and dignity of women. After schemes like Ladli Lakshmi, Mukhya Mantri Kanya-Vivah/Nikah, Sambal, now Ladli Bahna Yojana will strengthen women and elevate their self-esteem. Today women are governing villages and cities due to initiatives like 50 percent reservation in the local bodies. The amount of Ladli Bahna Yojana will be gradually increased up to Rs.3000 per month. Ladli Bahna Sena has been constituted for effective implementation of women welfare schemes at the field level. Those who harm women/girls are hanged and their houses are demolished.

The Chief Minister said that along with rapid development in the state, we do not lag behind in our devotion to God. Along with development works like roads, bridges, culverts, schools, dams, electricity, water, religious places of the state are also being developed. Similar to Ram Mandir, Kashi Corridor, Mahakal Mahalok in Ayodhya, now Shri Baijnath Mahalok will be developed in Agar-Malwa.

Chief Minister Chouhan said that Sant Ravidas said that governance should ensure equality to everyone and food available to all. The government in Madhya Pradesh is running in lines of his vision. Work is being done for the welfare of every person. Free food grains, pucca houses, health services are being provided to the poor.

Chief Minister Chouhan said that the previous government stopped many welfare schemes. Our government has re-started crop loans to farmers, special nutrition-diet allowance, laptops to meritorious students, maternity assistance, Mukhya Mantri Kanya Vivah Teerth Darshan schemes at zero percent interest. Senior citizens are being taken for pilgrimages by flight. The interest amount has been paid to the farmers who had become defaulters. Small farmers are now being given Kisan Samman Nidhi of Rs 12 thousand every year.

Chief Minister Chouhan said that the process for recruitment on one lakh government posts is going on in the state, further 50 thousand more recruitments will be made for government jobs. In self-employment schemes, the government is giving loan and interest subsidy on its guarantee. Along with learning skills, an honorarium of Rs 8 to 10 thousand is being given per month under the Mukhyamantri Seekho-Kamao Yojana.

Offered prayers to Lord Shri Baijnath

Chief Minister Chouhan first reached Lord Shri Baijnath Temple located in Agar-Malwa and after worship rituals and Abhishek of Lord Shri Baijnath, wished for the progress of the state and welfare of the people. The Chief Minister also performed bhoomi-pujan of development and beautification work worth Rs. 18 crore 90 lakh in Baijnath temple.
