The CBI special court Hyderabad has sentenced Kavadi Narasimha, IAS (AGMUT-1991), then Secretary to Mizoram Govternment to undergo three years rigorous imprisonment with fine of Rs.1,00,000 for possessing disproportionate assets.

The CBI had registered a case on 21.12.2006 against Kavadi Narasimha, IAS (AGMUT-1991), then Secretary to Governmentt of Mizoram on the allegations that the accused, while working as a public servant during the period 15.09.1991 to 19.10.2006 had amassed assets to the tune of Rs.32,31,000 which were disproportionate to his known sources of income.

After investigation, a charge sheet was filed on 30.06.2010 against the accused.

The Trial Court found the said accused guilty and convicted him.
