Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan has said that needy persons would be given land titles for residential purposes.

He said that interest-free loans are being provided to farmers. The Centre and the State together are giving Rs 12,000 to the farmers in one year. For the convenience of farmers, a scheme for having transformers on subsidy is getting started.

Chief Minister Chouhan was addressing a function at the Kisan and Ladli Bahna Sammelan in Khargone today.

He also performed bhoomi pujan and dedicated development works worth Rs 3673 crore in Khargone district.

He said that the government has no shortage of budget to serve the people. The government is making efforts to transform the lives of the common people.

Chief Minister Chouhan said that the government has initiated to change the lives of women by introducing the Ladli BahnaYojana. Unmarried women who have been left out of this scheme will also be provided benefits of the scheme. Under this scheme, the 10th of the month has been made Ladli Behna Day and women wait for this date every month. Currently an amount of Rs 1250 is being given in this scheme. It will be gradually hiked to Rs 3 thousand. Our target is to increase the income of women to Rs 10,000 per month through self-help groups.

Mukhyamantri Ladli Bahna Awas Yojana has been started for Ladli Bahnas and registration of women has started under the scheme. Houses will be built under this scheme in the next 03 years.

Gas cylinders for Rs 450 are being provided to women and Ladli Bahnas who are beneficiaries of the Ujjwala Yojana. From next month, women will start getting gas cylinders for Rs 450.

In order to enable the children of poor and labourers to pursue studies, they are being given laptop and e-scooty. The state government will bear the expenses of medical and engineering education of poor children. Our government is making arrangements to provide employment to every family. We are working towards creating a new Madhya Pradesh.

Referring to the recent floods in Khargone district, Chouhan said that the loss caused by the floods will be surveyed for compensattion.

People whose houses have been damaged or inundated will also be compensated.

He said that the state government has left no stone unturned for the government employees, so they should also take care that there is no negligence in the survey of farmers and common people affected by the floods.

Chouhan said that Khargone district has witnessed development works worth Rs 3673 crore. This includes the Bhoomi Pujan of Jhirnya Lift Irrigation Scheme worth Rs 1386 crore and dedication of Bistan Lift Irrigation Scheme worth Rs 515 crore. With these schemes, irrigation facilities will be available to the farmers in their fields.

Khargone has also got a medical college.

He referred to spiritual corridors like Mahakal Lok, Adiguru Shankaracharya Lok at Omkareshwar and Navagraha Lok is recent addition. Maa Ahilya Lok in Maheshwar is getting started. Astroturf will also be made for the hockey players. The programme was also addressed by MPs Gajendra Singh Patel and Shri Gyanewshwar Patil.
