Madhya Pradesh Power Transmission Company (MP TRANSCO) ranks among top three power utilities in the country. Addressing 76th Independence Day function organized at Madhya Pradesh Power Transmission Company on the occasion of Amrit Mahotsav of Independence, Transco Managing Director Sunil Tiwari referring to the remarkable achievements after two decades of the establishment of TRANSCO, said Madhya Pradesh Power Transmission Company has been ahead in adopting innovative technique , probably for the first time in the country, HTLS of new technology in conventional towers.

The conductor has been successfully used, along with construction of towers on pile foundation and monitoring & patrolling of Extra High voltage lines with help of drones has also been started which has yielded positive results.

He said that the early completion of the work of Green Energy Corridor is also an achievement.

Real time data acquisition system got praise in the country, he said.
Madhya Pradesh is the first power utility in the country which has taken the first steps to save the transmission system from cyber attack at the State Load Dispatch Center, Jabalpur and we have developed a data acquisition system for real time data monitoring in the power sector, which has been received praised at national level as well as it’s data is being used by the world class Indian Institute of Technology Indore for its research papers and advanced studies, he said.

Tiwari said that 100% utilization of SCADA system has given credibility to the monitoring of transmission company’s substations and Extra High Voltage lines and also helped in system saving and timely rectification work.

Amazing achievement to complete on Green Corridor Project
The Managing Director said that this year the EHT Construction team has shown remarkable work efficiency by completing all its construction works on time.

Especially Madhya Pradesh is probably the second state in the country to complete the Green Energy Corridor project well in time which is being monitored by the PMO. Describing it as a wonderful achievement, he greeted the Procurement Faculty along with the EHT Construction faculty, due to their efforts this became possible.

Significant reduction in transmission loss by 301 percent, Tiwari has said Madhya Pradesh Power Transmission Company has achieved a remarkable achievement by reducing it’s transmission losses by 301 percent after becoming a company and has made transmission availability 99.29 percent, which is higher than the standard set by the Central Electricity Regulatory Commission of 98.5 percent.

He said that the loss which was 7.93 per cent earlier has now come down to 2.63 per cent.

Excellent results achieved after innovation, he said.
